Bio
Lee Morton is a Certified Petroleum Geologist (#5797) with 42 years experience in both exploration and development geology in multiple geologic basins, including Texas, Louisiana, MidContinent, Offshore GOM, Rocky Mountains and several major resource plays. Since 2012, Mr. Morton has been working as a consulting geologist for multiple clients. Most recently, Mr. Morton has performed field studies for a midstream client seeking gas storage possibilities. Internationally, he has evaluated prospects and producing properties in Mexico and Myanmar.
Mr. Morton has worked for both major and independent companies in acquisitions and divestitures, prospect evaluation, field studies, and log analysis.
Mr. Morton has a BA in Geology from University of Texas at Austin with a minor degree in Petroleum Engineering and is an active member of AAPG, Houston Geological Society, and SPWLA.
